The journey starts- in 3 weeks.

So I had my 1st appointment with Dr. Pettes yesterday to discuss our options. She told me it sounded like Clomid would be a good choice for us and recommended for me to go ahead and start taking prenatal vitamins. To my amazement, of the 5 doctors offices that I requested my charts from 0, yes Z-E-R-O of them had sent them. Amazing. So Dr. Pettes didn't really have a lot to go by and didn't have my latest lab work results. Long story short- I have to go back in 3 weeks for another appointment so she can write the RX. It was all a tad disappointing, I really thought something would come of the appointment. Oh well. I've waited this long haven't I? 3 more weeks won't kill me.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

As most of you know, Christophe and I have been trying for #2 for a year and 8 months now with no success. Last year we learned that I have an underactive thyroid and PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Both of which make it extremely hard to get pregnant. I've been on medication for both for some time now. One of these made me pretty sick for quite a while, but the side effects have faded for the most part. Our next step is looking into fertility drugs. Next Monday I start seeing a new doctor who hopefully will be able to help us.
